Sydney stomachs have spoken and they are saying ‘you can keep your fine dining – what we want is sizzing meat on a bun!’. Could this be best burger in Sydney?
It’s lunchtime in Albion Street and the move to take Chur Burger’s from the laneway to the main restaurant is paying off for Warren Turnbull. The juicy offerings from Chur have all the local workers beating a path to the kitchens for their beefy offerings.
This is a ridiculously winning formula. $10 burgers. Sweet potato fries. Burgers that consistently prepared in all their char-y goodness I find the Beef Burger impossible to resist.
Thankfully the Sous Chef has ordered the Pulled Pork so that I can extend my sampling of the Chur Burger menu and it’s also pretty delicious (at least as good as my Mexican Pulled Pork).
It’s purely for the purposes of research that we sample the Salted Caramel Milkshake which, if this is your bag, will not disappoint.
Though it must be frustrating for our fine dining chefs to pack up their sous vides in exchange for burger flipping, but Mr Turnbull should know that his burger eating public are most thankful to have a casual food offering that is of this incredible standard.
